Concrete driveways are one of the best ways to improve curb appeal while making a solid investment for your home. When properly installed and maintained, a concrete driveway can last 20 + years with low maintenance costs. Plus, with the option to color and stamp your concrete, you can have a concrete driveway with a look that’s uniquely you.

CONCRETE EXTENSIONS & WIDENING
Concrete Driveways & Garage Floors
A typical concrete Driveway extension calls for removal and disposal of 9″ of dirt, and consists 4″ CA-6 stone, wire mesh, then 5″ of concrete.
Driveways are recommended a minimum of 4″ CA-6 stone, wire or fiber mesh, and 5″ of Concrete.
Concrete Garage Floor is the same profile as the driveway. Decorative concrete coatings may be added for appeal and character.
Expansion joints are installed where the old concrete meets the newly installed concrete (i.e.: where the newly installed driveway meets the existing garage base).
Six bag mix Concrete at 4,000PSI is important to ensure you get maximum strength concrete.
Concrete Walkways
Walkways are usually 3′ wide in most areas except the front walkway (usually wider). Installation is typically 4″ CA-6 stone and 4″ concrete.
Private walkways are recommended of 4″ CA-6 stone base, and 4″ of concrete.
City Walkways are typically 4″ of CA-6 stone base, and 5″ of concrete.
The City Approach (area between the city walk and the road) varies in thickness per village. Often it is 6″ or more of concrete.
Concrete Stoops and Steps
Concrete Stoops and Steps can be extended and widened as necessary to create a comfortable step down without the trip hazard. We follow standard depths of 7″ for steps and perform work to village codes and typical engineer specifications to ensure the work is done precisely as is needed.
Many times concrete stoops can be overlayed or “capped” with pavers or natural stone to give a more classy look. It is not uncommon to pour everything else concrete and purposely emphasize the front entrance with pavers or stone (i.e.: bluestone & flagstones).
It is possible to sometimes save money from replacing the concrete stoop by leveling the stoop with mortar or screenings, then overlaying the concrete stoop with brick pavers or natural stone.
Concrete Patios
Concrete patios are one of our most popular services since with this type of material our clients have more options for personalized design to create a perfect space to live outdoors. With a variety of patterns, colors and stamps, your patio can reflect the style of your entire property.
Is your Patio too small? You can extend it with new concrete, however, it is usually best to re-do the existing patio to have a uniform look.
