Asphalt Driveways
The appearance of your driveway makes one of the first impressions about your property to visitors and passersby. Whether you are selling your home or looking to stay, be sure your driveway is not overlooked, as no property’s hardscape is complete without a well-kept driveway. Driveways are economical, durable and long lasting, and they are also relatively inexpensive to maintain.
Our commitment to you is to provide a strong and durable pavement that is functional and reliable for years to come. We guarantee aesthetically complete driveway that shows off its quality through its beauty. We specialize in attention to detail from edges and corners to compacting properly next to structures and other pavements. An important factor to the strength of the driveway is the tamping of the edges. This provides proper support against crumbling edges as well as giving your driveway a beautiful finished appearance of straight lines and smooth curves.
Asphalt driveways are both strong and durable and are engineered to withstand winter freezing and spring thawing. Unlike concrete, asphalt installation and repairs can be easily and quickly done as less steps are required to complete an asphalt paving project.
ASPHALT SERVICES
Asphalt Remove and Replace
Completely removing the driveway allows us to uncover the underlying problems that may be found in the base, thereby, ensuring the proper steps are taken to install a driveway that lasts.
When should I replace my Driveway?
It’s time to completely replace your driveway if you notice any of these issues:
- Thorough Cracking
- Settling of the driveway
- Water drainage & pitching issues
- Excessive asphalt raveling or crumbling into pieces
- Evident Potholes
Asphalt Driveway Dig-out / Driveway Extension
Running out of parking space for guests, your camper, for playing basketball, boat, or that new driver in the family? Is your driveway excessively large or has a odd shape? Installing an extension to your driveway can be the solution to parking issues or door nicks for driveways that are too narrow. We can also help re-shape your driveway, change the layout, or completely relocate it on your property!
When should I do an Asphalt Dig-out?
Whether you want to install a new driveway or add square footage to an existing one.
Asphalt Driveway Overstone
If you are dealing with irregular areas, dirt, mud and an all-around mess with your gravel driveway, maybe you need to figure out how to make your gravel driveway solid.
Asphalt Overstone is the best choice since often it does not require excavation helping to lower cost.
First we need to check the levels to have the appropriate grade so that the water doesn’t pool on the surface.
Next, a sub-base will be put down creating a plane that is stable enough to hold the blacktop that’s going on top of it.
Last we instal 3″ asphalt and compact it.
When should I do it?
Overstone is applied when the client already has a gravel base installed.
However, our crew must check the levels and add up to 2” of gravel.
Minimum digging for clean up maybe necessary.

Driveway Overlay/Resurface
A resurface is one of the most cost effective ways get a new looking driveway if you are not concerned about optimal longevity. A typical resurface will last approximately 7-10 years if done over a stable existing driveway surface (some areas may need spot patching).
Driveways can be resurfaced or “overlayed” with asphalt. The prime candidate for a resurface is:
- A minimally cracked surface.
- The driveway is settled at least 2″ low below the garage floor or has at least this amount of space from existing pavement to garage floor, city sidewalk, and entrance, and is in good to average condition.
- The driveway is long and can have sections corrected independently; small driveways do not usually see cost benefits as minimum charge may still apply.
Other Asphalt Services
Heavy Duty Pavement and a thicker stone for heavier loads. (i.e.: boat parking, camper parking, or heavier vehicle). For this we recommend 3″ or 4″ of blacktop in two lifts with a gravel base of 8″ or even 12″.
We also install full or partial basketball, tennis or pickleball courts. Custom striping layouts are available and are done in-house.
Changes or cancellations of sections, the existing pavements and gravel will be hauled away, and remaining areas will be filled with dirt and topsoil & seed.
Asphalt installation and repairs can be easier and quicker than concrete or brick installation since fewer steps are required to complete a project.
ASPHALT PAVING PROCESS
STEP 1.
DEMO & BASE PREPARATION
Upon arrival the crew will remove the existing surface of the driveway, install the new stone base, grade, leave it compacted and ready for inspection with the local village or city as required.
In most cases, after the base is prepared, the driveway will be accessible for parking.
STEP 2.
INSPECTIONS
After base preparation, we will schedule any required base inspections.
Once inspection is passed, we will schedule the project pavement installation date which normally is between 1-3 days after the base has been readie, weather permitting.
Most villages do not require for anyone to be present during inspection, but do require the permit to be visibly posted on a front window or door as well as approved plans to be accessible if needed.
Some Villages do not require a base inspection, we will advise if one is not needed. If such is the case we will schedule paving sooner availability.
STEP 3.
PAVEMENT INSTALLATION
The pavement installation crew will complete the driveway by pouring the asphalt and leave it tied-off to traffic.
During construction, please contact your local police department for street parking permission.
