What Is a Geogrid System?

A geogrid is a synthetic mesh material installed between subgrade and base aggregate to stabilize the ground, reduce rutting, and improve overall load-bearing performance. It works by locking aggregate in place and distributing pressure more evenly, reducing base thickness requirements and controlling long-term settlement.

  • Excavation and grading of the installation area
  • Placement of geogrid material on subgrade or within base layers
  • Proper overlap and anchoring according to engineered specifications
  • Base aggregate placement and compaction over the geogrid
  • Final paving or paver installation on stabilized surface

We use high-quality biaxial or triaxial geogrids depending on your site’s needs and the planned surface.
